Recently our MD visited artist KV Duong at his studio in London and was treated to a sneaky peek at his artwork, some of which were still in progress.

KV’s work is heavily influenced by many aspects of his life. The aftermath of war in Vietnam, life as an immigrant, his sexuality, are some of the drivers for his style of art.

NHS Series

Amongst the work were nine portraits of frontline health workers from different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. The finished pieces, on distressed metal plates, featured the health workers wearing (Covid prevention) masks as the background with an overlay image representing an aspect in their profession.

During lockdown, the series featured in a display with W1 Curates in Piccadilly Circus.
