Additional charges in plain sight

Fuel Surcharge

Calculated monthly, variable – applied to all shipments, International and Domestic, including mail services. More information can be found on our Fuel Surcharge dedicated page.

Peak Surcharge

Calculated per parcel, 28p p/kg, applied to international shipments only.

Green Surcharge

Calculated per postal item 2p p/item, applied by Royal Mail to any business mail delivery.

Oversize surcharge

Consult tariff – applied to any individual piece where the first or second biggest dimension exceeds 120cm or 80cm.

Over length surcharge

Consult tariff – applied to any shipment longer than 120cm.

Overweight surcharge

Consult tariff – applied to any international shipment heavier than 70kgs or any domestic shipment heavier than 30kgs.

Volumetric Surcharge

Consult tariff – applied to shipments where volumetric weight is greater than dead weight. Use our online Volumetric Calculator to work out your road and air shipping weights.

Non-conveyable surcharge

Consult tariff – applied to any shipment (both domestic and international) that cannot be handled on an automated conveyor due to either size/ shape/ packaging.

Non-stacking pallet charge

£250.00 per pallet – applied to any palletised shipment that cannot be stacked with other pallets.

UK Third party collection surcharge

Consult tariff – available to arrange collections throughout the UK.

Re-delivery / Address Correction Fee

Consult tariff – applied to shipments with incomplete or incorrect addresses or when consignee is absent.

International third-party collections

Request a quote – Overseas collections can be arranged for return to the UK and between overseas addresses.

Remote Area Surcharge

£25.00 + tariff – applied to any delivery to an address not classified as a “major destination” city, or suburb / town.

Non-Document Surcharge

Consult tariff – applied to all international, non-document shipments.

Delivery Duties Paid (DDP) fee

£26.00 – applied to shipper when international local taxes and duties are being paid charged back to the UK rather than being paid by recipient

Dangerous Goods Surcharge

Variable according to commodity – applied to shipments classified as “Hazardous” including but not limited to component materials such as gases / liquids / batteries. Specialist packing, labelling and paperwork required.

Professional Packing Charges

Variable – specialist art and other packing services available.

Individual shipment Insurance

Variable – We operate under standard BIFA trading conditions and insurance. Full details HERE. We can offer individual shipment insurance according to commodity, value, packing and destination – speak to your account manager.
