We spend a lot of time talking about the amazing art covering the exterior of our ShipArt fleet, but what about the inside ? Our vans are kitted out with various items for the transit of art – whether we are collecting a “sold” item from a gallery or artist or delivering to an exhibition or buyer we have every eventuality covered.
We collect a surprising amount of art wrapped in little more than a tissue layer and cardboard, sometimes nothing at all! To minimise the chance of damage – even on the short journey to the packers our vans carry a full complement of protective kit:
Art crates – foam lined with foam dividers – open topped, suitable for multiple framed and canvas items and sculptures
Padded bags – multiple sizes – suitable for lightweight framed items
Cardboard Sleeves – multiple sizes – suitable for unframed sheets, prints and posters
Straps – to restrain crates and large items to vehicle anchor points
Art Blankets – to provide additional wrapping for large items and sculptures
Duvets – to provide additional wrap and shock absorption for larger items
Glass tape – to strengthen the glass on framed items
