In order to keep supply chains open and employees safe with defined working spaces and protocols we have reduced our on-site staffing to just 6 currently – making the 2 meter safe working distance easily achievable in our 17,000 sq ft warehouse at Wokingham! Technology is enabling order processing and printing and client services to be managed remotely and the current COVID-19 pandemic is teaching us many things – working smarter, faster and innovatively is just one of the lessons being learned by our adaptable staff – with some actually preferring the new working environment !
A sunny Easter weekend with the “stay home” theme has seen an increase in orders across all ranges but in particular sunglasses, sports clothing, exercise, music and food and alcohol gifts. Our Royal Mail team based at Swindon and covering the Wokingham, Bracknell and M4 corridor are doing us proud in covering the increased collections and handling – safely of course!
