The decision of course is always yours but insurance is not available without professional packing and photographic evidence of the artwork both before packing and once packed. You may have your own blanket insurance policy in place in which case we can still supply the packing element and photographs for your own insurer. Your piece of art may be travelling thousands of miles in and out of aircraft containers and then through sortation hubs and on and off vehicles – multiple opportunities for mishandling by a third party- dropping, crushing, folding to name just a few of the hazards – comprehensive packing minimises risk !
