We often collect art that has been adequately packaged by the sender for the journey in our specialised art vehicles back to our depot, but when the artwork needs to travel further afield we sometimes need to either repack them in a more suitable outer plywood case.
We always inspect the packing when it arrives here before its onward journey. Most times when further protection is required, we will have to remove the original packing entirely, however as shown in the video above, sometimes it is perfect for inner packing and we will then build an outer plywood crate around it.
Plywood cases are used when contents are either fragile, valuable or there are multiple items.
