We are delighted to be involved in the next art project with Marine Tanguy Art – London Melt Week –

MELT WEEK LONDON,
OCTOBER 2016
The first edition of London Melt week will take place between the 4th and the 8th October, 2016.
This project, led by MTArt, is born from the desire to integrate art within our existing cityscape, will re-inject culture into the venues
that surround us. Creative pioneers, corporates, institutions and entrepreneurs across the city are taking part in an organised series
of events including inspirational talks, workshops, seminars, artist projects and installations.
A list of the venues involved will be promoted through a digital map and ambassadors and tour guides will be on hand at various
locations to explain and endorse the project at each pinpointed location. Each event is readily accessible, educational and engaging.
The programme will begin with an inaugurative performance taking place in the heart of the city, on Regent’s street. The project,
curated by artists Walter & Zoniel, epitomises the spirit of Melt week itself: interactive, inclusive and incorporative. In the evening, an
opening party and introductory speech will be hosted at Ace hotel. Artist Ornella Fieres will unveil a site-specific project, plunging
the 7th floor of the hotel into complete darkness for the reveal of her sound art installation: a taster of the innovative undertakings
to follow.
As the week progresses, various venues will open their doors and exteriors to carefully created art installations, works and musical
performances. Designed by the artists themselves, the projects stand for innovation and forward thinking: they challenge the
norm whilst upholding the ethos of the partners involved. Collective working spaces, including Camden Collective and WeWork,
and institutions, including London Film School and the Museum of London, will house artists and cross-sector visionaries. Fashion
brands, start-ups and networks will collaborate in this unforgettable experience, one that will inject new life into our city, taking
existing potential and converting it into reality.
The week will conclude with a celebratory party in association with Uber and a subsequent comprehensive discussion held at King’s
College London. After the event, a film incorporating each event and the individuals involved in the initiative will be released. It will
compliment an accompanying campaign, founded on the creative pioneer, which will feature the profiles of a number of inspiring
individuals, shot in various locations throughout London.
#poweredbyartists, Melt week will bring art back into the routine of our daily lives, supporting and inspiring creative culture:
highlighting its importance by revealing its underlying omnipresence.
