The Commonwealth Games takes place in Glasgow between 23rd July and 3rd August 2014.

This may lead to some delays and issues with collections and deliveries in affected areas, although our agents have been working with local businesses to ensure that contingency plans are in place that should minimise any disruption.

Any deliveries to addresses located on the Games Route Network are most likely to be affected, as these special Games Lanes have been established to facilitate the transport of competitors and officials between their accommodation and venues as smoothly as possible. These will operate effectively like Bus Lanes, with restricted loading, crossing, and stopping along the route.

Key ‘working’ days when there will be widespread road closures throughout the city are as follows:

Wednesday 23rd July – Opening Ceremony
Saturday 26th July – Road closures in preparation for the Marathon on Sunday 27th
Thursday 31st July – Cycling Road Time Trial

We will be monitoring the situation throughout the event and updates will be posted here and via our Twitter feed @flightlg should any issues arise.
