Our drive towards greener efficiencies continues in spite of the current global pandemic crisis. In fact – because of the positive environmental impact the COVID-19 management strategy has had – with cleaner air and cleaner seas to name but 2, the drive to maintain the momentum of these positive environmental changes becomes even more pressing. Our latest change has been the switch to “green” pallet wrap – literally green and composed of 80% recycled material and 20% new plastics – its been a thumbs up from our ops teams testing its strength and durability. We are still awaiting commercial production of compostable pallet wrap and in the mean time our compromise solution together with our in house baling of plastic and cardboard waste for recycling is a step in the right direction !
