We love it when contemporary art and raising money for a good cause come together. Even better when we can offer support through our art handling services.

So, when Simon Butler the founder of Migrate Art contacted us to see if we could help collect artwork from international locations, and ship them back to London for an auction to help raise money for the global refugee crisis, we jumped at the chance. Simon formerly a client of ours from Lazarides Ltd was in need of an art handling company he knew he could rely on.

“We are both excited and grateful to be working with Flight Logistics for our upcoming Multicolour project. We wouldn’t want to work with anyone else, as their knowledge and expertise are unrivalled.”

Simon Butler – Founder of Migrate Art

Flight Logistics-ShipArtTM is currently organising the first collection from artist Zhang Huan based in Beijing. Further shipments will include artwork from Joana Vasconcelos (Lisbon), Pejac (Madrid), Annie Kevans (Dordogne), Nari Ward (New York) and Swoon (New York).

About Migrate Art

Migrate Art was born in 2016 from a desire to help those affected by the global refugee crisis.  Since then they have raised tens of thousands of pounds to help individuals and communities who have been displaced by war. In an industry full of red tape and bureaucracy, they aim to keep things simple, raise money and donate it to groups who can use it most effectively and help those most in need.

The Multicolour project

Migrate Art announced Multicolour, a new exhibition and auction fundraising to support those affected by the global refugee crisis. Some of the most significant names in contemporary art will create works using pencils and crayons salvaged from the Calais Jungle refugee camp, formerly home to a community of approximately 10,000 refugees, demolished in 2016. These works will be on view in a dedicated exhibition in March 2019 in London prior to their sale in an auction at Phillips in early April.
