In-keeping with our 5 ‘R’ plan – Reduce, Reuse, Replace, Renew, Recycle
As part of our drive to reduce our carbon footprint and improve environmental efficiencies, finding a suitable re-use for broken or odd sized pallets and art cases that can’t be reused has been quite a challenge. Most pallet recyclers charge to collect and recycle – often “recycling” means chipping for fuel – which doesn’t help a carbon footprint!
We were fortunate to come across J James Ltd. They mend pallets for re-use or break down and recycle them for new panel boarding or animal bedding. Anything low grade that cannot be re-used in any way is sent to a WID (IED) compliant Biomass plant.
Zero waste goes to landfill!
