Recent geopolitical developments in the Middle East are continuing to place pressure on international transport networks. As a result, some carriers have introduced operational changes that may affect shipments to certain destinations.

While global logistics networks remain operational, clients should be aware that shipments to, from, or via parts of the Middle East may experience delays or additional operational requirements as carriers respond to evolving conditions in the region.

Summary

  • Shipments to, from, or via parts of the Middle East may experience delays due to ongoing geopolitical developments.
  • Some destinations are currently classified by carriers as Elevated Risk, and additional carrier surcharges may apply.
  • War and Strikes insurance cover is currently restricted for certain countries unless specifically agreed by underwriters. These changes take effect from 9 March, and we will continue to monitor the situation closely.

Update to War & Strikes insurance cover

Following recent developments in the region, there has also been a temporary change to the availability of War & Strikes insurance cover.

War & Strikes risks are currently excluded unless specifically agreed by underwriters for shipments to, from, via, or transiting the following countries:

This change takes effect from 9 March, and will be updated accordingly for any future quotes or certificates issued. All other policy terms, conditions, and exclusions remain unchanged.
