@kozo_tattoo’s “Permanent Impermanence” at Free Parking NYC. Known for his colored micro-realism tattoos, the artist reinterprets ‘The Apotheosis of Hercules,’ the famed ceiling of the Salon d’Hercule at Versailles, across a 1967 Ford Mustang Coupe. The piece took over 500 hours to complete, using the car as a vessel for classical grandeur.
Beyond the exterior, details carry through with fine tattooing across the vintage leather seats, along with subtle motifs of workers uncovering the image beneath the surface.
“Permanent Impermanence” opens May 15, 2026 at 16 Morton Street in New York City.
When being shipped, the ultimate test with large, irregular sculptures is designing internal packaging that immobilizes the piece without stressing fragile areas, while still absorbing the shock of unexpected bumps during shipping.
For this bespoke crate we built for one of @goldmarkart shipments, internal struts and cushioning were carefully positioned to stabilise the sculpture while keeping direct pressure away from vulnerable areas.
Together with all the correct stamps informing customs and handlers what they need to know, this piece has certainly had the very best care and attention for its journey…

It’s been 5 years and 7 months since I’ve seen these paintings in the flesh…
Kidnapped by an Italian gallerist who simply refused to return my artworks. Gaslit me constantly, lied and made my life an absolute. Misery for so long.
Finally after all this time, immense perseverance and going public on him they are back safely with me and there’s plans to re-show all these works in London soon!

Heads up... If you`re selling art to EU customers, you need to prepare for a change in shipping rules starting in August 2026.
From this date, anyone sending goods into the EU must carefully consider their packaging materials and even the type of ink used on them.
Packaging can no longer be treated as an afterthought.
It’s all part of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR).
