Ahead of the “Headlines” on Employee Wellbeing

With renewed public focus on Employee Wellbeing making the headlines we are proud that 2 years ago we initiated our own “Employee Assistance Program” or “EAP”. Our decision was driven by the realisation that a good work life balance is key to productive and happy staff and that employers have a vital role to play in ensuring that there is a professional, external support mechanism in place with easy, private access. The pressures of pandemic living and working through health scares and financial hardship have served to highlight how critical employer sensitivity is to these issues.

This is accessible both online and through a telephone helpline and is available not only to employees but also to their partners and child dependents aged up to 24 – because not all family issues are work related but can still have a significant impact on staff in the work place.
We hope that the scheme has been and remains to be helpful for employees – but because it is entirely confidential and managed by an external professional body we are not actively involved and will never know who might choose to use it. None the less we are proud to be forward thinking and having a “safety net” in place and will allow the enthusiasm and dedication of our teams attest to the fact that they are happy and well supported!
